Песня очень стоящая — это то что здесь называют stoner rock (it's a type of rock with a psychedelic element but quite heavily bassed and with a tad of metal in it — unlike psychedelic Pink Floyd type of rock — you know what I am talking about as you're a Pink Floyd fan like me.

Enot, I will write in English if you don't mind — as it's just quicker and I got to go soon. The Cranberries is indeed a rock band — but it is not real rock. It is what we call — the Alternative Rock — the indies (the independents — people who were not signed on to any major music label but still made good money and turned out first class tracks), but they are more like post punk and have either country (that's usually the Irish Alternative groups) or pop elements in them. The Indies they are more like an urban pop band if you like. Not cheesy pop, but not quite rock either. Although — this band below — they are Indies as well, but in the rock world they are considered rock. So go figure. They are from up North — the North of England.

I am a big fan of Cold Play — my thread started with it on the first page and it features throughout the thread. ColdPlay is a different phenomenon — as ColdPlay is one of those bands that make rock popular. Does that mean it becomes pop? No. Just a lighter style than metal rock for instance — which is unpalatable for the majority of the population in the West, so not as sellable. The metal rock for instance only gained popularity when Metallica came on the music scene and made the metal rock lighter, prior to that most people had never even heard of it.
