lobsters almost w/o claws … that's scary — sounds like they could be farm bred. well. as long as they have tails and taste is good — life is life

Food in DR is very good, almost all fresh food local DR or Haitian grown… too expensive to ship in from US or South America.
Canada grows most of its fresh fruit in the summer months, British Columbia and Southern Ontario can have 2 crop seasons, but only certain species; plum, peach, apple, watermelon, berries (blue, raspberry, strawberry etc), tomatoe, grape, etc. Nothing exotic.
So it’s nice to come down here and have fresh fruits, maybe 2−3 days old, in the morning; banana, melon, cantaloupe, oranges, etc.
The lobster here is also different from Canadian/USA, they have no or one claw for some reason. Not sure there’s a difference in taste though.
Shrimp here is amazing, we have no shrimp in Canadian waters, here it’s big and fresh and meaty… add some garlic butter and this is actually my favourite sea food…. one time I was stuck in Florida during a hurricane, waited the storm out with buckets of fresh rock shrimp and cold beer.
Funny thing is even with all this fresh food and warm weather, I couldn’t live here for long…. too lazy and slow life here. I’m sure Russians who visit here, we meet a lot, feel the same way. Food is great, ocean is great, hot/warm is great….but everyone is ready to go home after the week (or two) is up. Shared human nature for most people???

Это всё американцы выдумали — на самом деле на луну нельзя слетать, потому-что земля плоская и стоит на черепахе … а черепаха не промах и кораблик съела бы
