No, I totally get that. It is just with me - I don't know, but somehow I just prefer the British culture to everything, I simply don't like Russian culture. I like Ukrainian culture though. Most of my greatest memories from my childhood are from Ukraine - when I stayed with my grandparents as a kid during summers and that, and you know - I always had the most fantastic time there and just didn't even want to go home. And the food was just amazing. I couldn't have enough. My grandmother always thought that I was too thin and mulnourished and exhausted and tried to feed me stuff and went out of her way to cook great stuff. Also , the people in Ukraine are just more beautiful somehow than in Russia and more cheerful, it always seemed to me that way. I remember very vividly when I was about 8 , my Dad drove from Moscow to pick me up from my grandma's relatives in Rivne, and as we drove back for such a long time, as the scenery changed from Ukraine to Russia - actually - exactly on the border- it was not as sunny anymore (if you know what I mean ) - even the trees didn't look the same - they were somehow "droopier" you know, just everything turned sad. But I get you and everyone just has different experience in life and I totally respect that.

I have my little issues too... eg those big circle eyes in soviet's movies when they open them in such a stupid not natural way...it's pathetic and strange to watch...or rolling "r"...one never knows if these Russians argue with each other or this is just a language that sounds like it...also soft "l"... I am so smaль ...sometimes it is cute sometimes it's annoying...let alone that you are not good enough for the most of them too start with...they are all so spiritual, so sophisticated and you just down to earth illiterate American/Canadian or whoever you f u c k i n g are...and when you buy a coffee in the coffee shop you never know if the salesperson have some freaking degree in rocket science if he is from Russia.

Yeah, exactly. We once had a cleaner from Brazil, we paid her a good rate actually - it was £10 an hour at the time - she had an engineering degree, can you believe it? But turned out true. She was a student here just for the gap year and needed money. But - just goes to show. But actually - I gotta tell you , it's not just Russia - in this country - in London - there are so many uni educated Italians, Spanish, Portuguese , Greek, etc. - slaving in retail industry and cafes and coffee places and that, it's unreal.
