Why not just ban the possibility of discussing personalities of people who post on this forum?

It's because you are an «easy prey» who provides people who troll you with plenty of «food».
You may think you are showing them their place but in fact you show you are triggered and they have a good laugh reading your responses. You made a right choice, If you don't like to troll/to be trolled it is better to stay away from main forum.

You know, this topic is too big to be discussed in figure skating thread. It deserves to be a thread on its own.
How about «Truth and myths about the crimes of Britain»?

Personal insults are banned on this forum, the problem is most users don't observe the rules and since the moderators have to moderate their own group members — it is hard for them to moderate their own in a just and impartial way. Believe me I know what I am talking about as at one point I moderated the Convention for over a year.
To get justice — one has to make complaints to the Administration and it is a very long winded process and most just don't have time for it. So on the main forum — it is the crowd of ugly trolls that rules.
Re me being the easy prey for the trolls to have a good old laugh at me- I don' t agree with you there. I saw off some nasty trolls from this forum and remember many to whom my «putting them in their place» got quite a lot — so much so that they remembered what I once said to them — months or even years after and still felt offended — when I myself totally forgot what I said or whatever. When people bear grudges about something — it usually means it has gotten to them. But — truth be known — I don't particularly like insulting people — it makes me feel bad about myself but sometimes can't help doing it to stand up for my group mates.

What for? You are an anglophobe so we will never agree on anything anyway. Besides, my knowledge of history is quite poor and your knowledge of Britain and its history boils down only to what Putin's propaganda allows you to think. But you can give it a try I guess — although I doubt anything good will come out of it, we will probably just end up having a fight and not talking to each other again.

Same here. That is why I never troll by throwing insults to people here and there. It's not my style)

I'm an anglophobe because…?

FYI. Telling me that my view is limited by Putin's' propaganda is quite a stretch because I've never limited my sources by choosing one side of the conflict.

Now I spend like 10 times less on politics than I did before, actually I read only twitter. Btw, do you think Shaun's twitter is Russian propaganda?) If you do I have some bad news for you

I have found Irish twitter account called «Crimes of Britain» not long ago. So I was curious about their content. But let's drop it since you have a feeling it will end badly

Well, a troll who has been trolled back and got triggered is pathetic. If they are still offended (months or even years after) it serves them right

You are an Anglophobe because you see only bad things in Britain's past and totally overlook how much this little island gifted to the whole world. Re former colonies — especially dominions where the Anglo Saxon population comprised the majority live better than your stupid Russia.

I can't talk now, but re the Irish — yes, there were lots of crimes against them — The Potatoe Famine, the fact that they were used as slaves alongside the blacks, treated with a lot of racism comparatively not so long ago (my mother in law still remembers the times when there were signs on the English pubs «No dogs. No blacks. No Irish».) About the Irish I know a lot — my first husband was half Irish and I heard tons about all this from him and his family. But the relationship between us turned out very bitter towards the end and we parted very badly- antyway, it's a long story. I got to go now, will post later re the rest. have a nice day

I never claimed Britain did nothing good to the rest of the world. It did. But it doesn't cancel the fact that millions of people all over the world died because of British foreign policy. I'm sure majority of Brits are good people. But your foreign policy is awful. And it has been like that for ages.

Well, I didn't want to offend you. Sorry if I did. I see your are very sensitive not only when somebody speaks in negative tone about the queen, but also about the UK.
Probably you are right. Let's drop it. I want this thread to be positive.

Don't be silly — you didn't offend me. I should be the one saying «Sorry» re «stupid Russia» — I overreacted, cause all I read on the forum from the vatiniks is tons of negativity re Britain and America, when their own country never came close to giving to the world what Great Britain did. Or the States for that matter. Truth. Period. Even now — when you are hosting the World Cup and enjoying one of the most popular sports of all time — football — which is one of many English gifts to the humanity — all you want to talk about is the British crimes.
If you look back at the history of this world  in general— times have been cruel in general — every country's foreign policy has something to answer for. Brits just have been much more successful than others and left the best this world has to offer after themselves unlike for example Russia — which left poverty, corruption, no rule of law — after itself in the Post Soviet Space. And everyone is running away from you as far as their eyes can see. Even Ukraine. Fact.

Shaun's twitter is certainly not the Kremlin propaganda, I trust his judgement. Especially due to the fact that he actually lived in Russia longer than me — he spent more than 20 years there, whereas me — only 14 and I was just a kid at the time.

I already explained it to you — the fact that you do not have a strong opposition is due to your system — one, second — to the mentality of people which the Kremlin is abusing in order to continue to build a dictatorship state. Maybe «dictatorship» is too strong a word, but it certainly is not democracy in the sense that it exists in the West. And none of it is going to change on its own. Don't support the opposition if you don't want to — sit back and relax and wait for a miracle to happen. But what is happening is totally the opposite so far. People should first just fight for the concept of democracy — like respecting people's rights, against corruption, etc. Navalny is doing some of that so why not support him in the interim? You should fight for the system overhaul at this point and support any opposition. Your country is at that stage of development at the moment, that's all.

How on Earth someone can support the situation when almost half of population in a European country is literally oppressed (some of them are being shelled regularly) and illegaly deprived of their rights. How can you call it healthy? Millons of people all over Ukraine live in fear. You can't pretend they aren't Ukrainians (or they don't exist) because you don't agree with them.

Millions of Ukrainians are not totally oppressed, you should try and switch off your telly more often and a lot of internet sites are flooded with Kremlin paid trolls — including here. It is just here people are well aware of it — partially thanks to Shaun Walker who did lots of reporting on the Kremlin paid trolls.
People who support ORDLO in Ukraine are fringes, not even minority. Most want their country to be whole and not to be messed with by Putin and his «green men». Most want now to join NATO.
You talked about the West messing with Russia — that is not possible even if they wanted to (believe me they don't — it is a big backwards country and needs too much support, besides — there is no need for it — your oligarchs are taking out all the capital out of your country to the West and selling all their resources to them anyway — so why would the West bother? ) — but Ukraine gave away their nuclear weapons to yourselves under the guarantees of their territorial integrity and sovereignty being respected. And you walked all over that. This is what you did to them —
