I am in the Royal Festival Hall right now in the South Bank of the riverThames (Waterloo) my daughter is performing with her school choir
The concert is called «The Brighter Sounds» Wandsworth Schools' music — about to switch the phone off

South bank

The stage right now

So proud!!! The tickets were discounted for us — we only had to pay £50 for me, hubby and the boys.

Some members of the Royal family are here too apparently — not sure whom, they will probably make a speech at the end — it is gonna go on till 9 40 pm.

Hi, it was truly amazing. Truly amazing — the quality of the orchestra and singing was second to none and this is one of the most famous musical venues in the world. The reason the concert was called The Brighter Sounds is because the Liondon Borough of Wandsworth (this is where we live) is called The Brighter Borough. It is not the richest borough, there is of course Chelsea, Kensington, etc But Wandsworth is famous for some of the best schools in the country. Prince George (Kate and Wills' son — goes to one of them- right next to my daughter’s ballet school). And in some schools there are choirs and professional musical instruments, etc These were the best performances, most kids are from secondary Wandsworth schools, only my daughter’s primary school choir was allowed. We were not allowed to film — DVD will be made and available to buy and it will also come out on BBC2. But I managed to sneak a little video before my husband confiscated my phone from me — just gives you an idea of the quality — this bit they were singing allltogether with older kids

It all finished really late last night — we didn’t get home till 11 and didn’t get to bed till 12 and I had to get up at 5 am to meet a friend to do some running. Just had lunch at work and feel like sleeping. Can’t wait till the working day is over and done with.

Figure skating season has come to an end… sigh.
There will be one commercial tournament in April, but it's more like a show. Well, at least I won't bother you with figure skating till September

I am not sure it is such a good thing, you make it sound so sad. You will have to find some other things to bother me with.
You are a bit obsessive about figure skating, but it is a lot better than the subject of depressing Brexit — so sick of it, can't bear to hear the word anymore.

I am so glad today is over- I was so tired all day. After a run on Wandsworth Common today — there were three of us this morning - we are preparing for London marathon — we were supposed to go to the Fitness First Club to have a shower and we dropped our work clothes there, etc. — it is a long story, but since we met so early — we had some time left and attended a 30 minute Russian kettlebell (https://www.dragondoor.com/shop-by-depa rtment/kettlebells/) class.

Russian kettlebell fitness classes are ultra popular here — where you do sit ups and lunges and squats with a kettlebell (the lowest weight is 8 kilos and I find it hard to be honest — very heavy for me) and then you swing it around like a maniac, etc. — scary. To be honest, amongst fitness trainers (I don't mean the footwear here, I mean people who train other people — they sometimes call themselves fitness consultants, but come on, honestly — how can someone like that call themselves a consultant?) — adding the adjective Russian to anything is en vogue and they think it makes some stupid old exercise sound like something new and more sophisticated. For example — when doing core exercises — instead of a twist — they say it is "a Russian twist", or instead of a plank — they add raising a leg sideways to it and call it "a Russian plank". I turned around today and asked the instructor -«How do you know this is something to do with Russia, I am from Russia and do not remember anything of the kind being called that». And the answer was «They must have invented new things since you were there». Another thing, you know there are 3 colour gold bands (white, yellow and rose) — in jewellery — they are connected, Cartier do them — like this —

Here they call them Russian wedding bands. I once asked a jeweller "Why do you call these rings Russian wedding bands? Wedding bands in Russia are simple yellow or white gold or platinum bands, just like here." He said «I have no idea love, this is what they are called».

Anyway, I am happy I have a half day off tomorrow, I have an appointment later in Kent, I am gonna drive there from home, I have all the paperwork, no point going to the office in the morning, so I can have a lie in — thank God.

The Mother
A powerful narrative dance production based on Hans Christian Andersen's dark tale, choreographed by Arthur Pita and starring Natalia Osipova.

International dance superstar Osipova, principal of the Royal Ballet, stars alongside multi-award winning dancer Jonathan Goddard.
The Mother is set to original live music by Frank Moon and Dave Price and is choreographed by Arthur Pita, the choreographer of critically acclaimed productions The Metamorphosis and The Glass Menagerie.

Most probably, yeah. Our Angelina is great friends with Natalia Osipova — Osipova is the principal of the Royal ballet and Vacani school is one of the main feeders for the Royal ballet school (Royal ballet school starts later — at 13 y.o., Vacani starts at 2.5 y.o.), so if Angelina is going, I will do as well.

P. S. Something strange is happening, my flag disappeared, even though I didn't change anything in my profile — still Automatic flag display. How weird.
