Agreed. Evgenia and Alina rivalry is a waaaay more classy

Today I feel like the happiest fan in the world. I was beaming with smiles and almost soaring all day long

First of all, Evgenia showed her best despite her hip injury and took the place on the podium. She is so happy about it and so am I.

I found a British Eurosport version for you. I like them more than Russian commentators to be honest.

Remember there was a shitstorm when Rus Fed picked her for Russian ladies team. Some turds even made a petition to revise that decision. Evgenia's reaction after her skate speaks volumes about the pressure she had to deal with

More than that, Alina won 2019 worlds and became the youngest athlete in history who won all major figure skating titles.

I also happy for Liza Tursynbaeva who made history today by landing a quad jump. No senior lady ever done it before in international competition. Also Liza became the first women from Kazakhstan to win a medal at world championships.

It's funny they switched coaches with Medvedeva.
Medvedeva left Eteri and went to Brian Orcer
Liza left Orser and went to Eteri.

Liza was a mediocre skater happy to be in top 10 just a year ago, but in less than 10 months under Eteri she became a new star. It's looks like a miracle as if Eteri has a magic wand or smth like that

Grin (25771),

Good morning! I slept for 12 hours solid last night — that is how tired I was, just woke up at 10 Am. At11 15 there is another Matilda rehearsal at Vicky's drama school as they stage Matilda play in different small theatres in London — I don't have a chance to see all the theatre performances as I am at work obviously, I saw one last Sunday morning, but one is not allowed to film at the actual theatre plays. I will try and film something from today's rehearsal. And then I am off running with my mates. Another crazy weekend. My husband is taking the boys to Spencer ground to watch cricket. They follow him like ducklings the whole weekend, which is great, they don't get to spend a lot of time with their Dad during the week and he is on trips abroad a lot.

So I will be back later in the day and will watch and read your posts and answer properly, got to go and get ready now. Have a nice day).

She does sound like a genius coach, it must be mega hard to bring out talents in other people.
We have people at work who are great at training other people, I am not like that at all to be honest, I get frustrated and impatient, and also — I have my own style kind of, others have theirs — it is difficult to explain.

I just got a call from my running mates — we have to change our running venue from Green Park (where I love to run) to Battersea (this is actually my closest big park) later on — because we are having two parallel huge marches in London — one is Leave means Leave (the Brexiteer march — this one is the biggest) and also the one for People's Vote (this is the Remainers trying to get a second referendum) — this is a much smaller march. The Leavers's march is affecting the traffic in the Centre of London badly, some streets are cordoned off. Crazy. Even on the weekend we are not left alone with the Brexit issue.

Got to go now).

Very nice pictures.

I am in such a great mood. Had a great run and really enjoyed the Matilda rehearsal. We were allowed to film, but the drama school asked specifically NOT to put anything on social media. There was one scene where Vicky (she plays the main role of Matilda) — was on her own (so I am not breaking any rules, not filming other kids without their parents permission, etc) — singing a song — Matilda's song «Sometimes it is OK to be a little bit naughty» — I filmed a bit of it and am trying to upload it to YouTube. I will share it and then delete it. Have you heard of Matilda by Road Dahl?
It is a very famous children's story. This is not a musical, just a play, but she sings this one song here. She is wearing just a Stage Coach T Shirt — cause it is a rehearsal only.

This is the continuation of the song (it is hard to upload a long video to youtube) — this is the second part — you can see the teachers cheering her up from where we were sitting

Very nice. I heard about it because last year there were rumors Alina will make a «Matilda» program.

There was a funny moment when fans realised they were talking about different characters - all English-speaking fans thought about the girl, Russian-speaking fans - about a balerina

This play Matilda is based on Roald Dahl's book, it is something completely different.
