Vicky was in tears for nearly an hour, the worst thing is- she has her LAMDA exam at 2:30 in the other side of London — I am driving as fast as I can trying to make it there on time — well, we are sitting in the traffic jam at the moment in Hammersmith.

Try to distract her somehow.

Sure you do. We only live once, there is no sence in waisting your life with a person you don't love.

Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

P.S. You have adorable family

Russians will always win in such sports as figure skating, or skiing, etc. It is a huge country full of talents and they have winter.

Grin (25771),

Good morning!

I am in the coffee shop next to my workplace- enjoying my morning cuppa.

Hi, I am gonna delete some posts and pics,
Couldn’t wait till the end of the day and picked up the Art Deco ring during lunch time — here it is (will delete the pic later)

Now I can’t get any work done — I am just sitting and staring at the ring non stop. And I won’t be buying any watches any time soon — my husband said it was either this or the watch but not both.

Thank you. I love antique jewellery much more than modern stuff. The quality of emeralds, sapphires and rubies of the Art Deco period and of the Victorian period and Georgian — is so much better than any modern stuff. Firstly — cause all the great stuff seems to have been mined out. Secondly, these days they don't dig the earth by hand, they use dynamites to mine the stones — they literally blow up the earth. Not only it is bad for the environment, it also damages the stones — they come out too included and cracked. They then have to be heat treated, or filled with glass or resin, etc;
Also, I find the modern stuff boring as hell. Even high end. Take Cartier for example — their Love Bangles. They are just so ugly, but they go for £7,000 to £9,000 new. I would rather have something like this any day.
But I am, not gonna wear the ring to work tomorrow, as I was teased all day today — my workmates saying things like «Are you still staring at the ring? Haven't gone blind yet?» It is just a bit too distracting at work.

Well, may be you just wear it at home, so your husband will see how happy you are, and you will get used to it so it won't distract you anymore)

Good idea. This is what I will do. He knows I am happy — I sent him zillions of texts today with the pictures of the ring. I also think he likes the fact that my taste in jewellery is similar to his Mom's.
